tailgate park
The brief for this group project (with Meg Houston and Alison Ingunza) was to incorporate concepts developed in a previous exercise into an overall plan for a "tailgate park" adjacent to a college football stadium and downtown entertainment district. The park needed to serve the needs of a large number of tailgaters on football Saturdays, but be versatile enough to be useful during most of the other 355 days of the year.

My group developed a system for variable length parking stalls based on a point to accommodate everything from compact cars to the biggest RVs.

The parking rings were made either convex or concave to provide amphitheater-type spaces. The bowled spaces were equipped with large LED displays to meet another requirement of the brief.
